Join St. Croix Valley Indivisible to hear Senator John Marty describe how we can realize affordable healthcare for every Minnesotan. The blueprint for accomplishing that is the Minnesota Health Plan (MHP), authored by the Senator.

At this virtual event, Senator Marty will answer our questions about how the plan could be implemented, and what it could mean for Minnesota patients, employers, healthcare providers, insurers, and taxpayers. He will also describe recently introduced legislation that is a first step toward realization of the MHP.
We understand that healthcare is a human right and should be accessible to everyone, no matter where we live, financial circumstances, the color of our skin, or gender identity. That is health justice! And we can realize that vision within the next few years.
Join us for this virtual discussion to learn about how we can achieve health justice in Minnesota.

All Minnesotans Should Have Affordable Health Care
Thank you to all of you who signed up for “Affordable Healthcare for Minnesota: Next Steps”, on February 27th, hosted by St. Croix Valley Indivisible. This is the link to the recording.
Our speaker, Senator John Marty, described the Minnesota Health Plan, a complete framework for how we could have affordable Healthcare for all Minnesotans, and he addressed our questions.
Many of the questions were about possible federal cuts to Medicaid expected from the US House budget resolution, passed solely by the House Republicans. Fortunately, the bills proposed by Minnesota legislators, if passed, could mitigate the impact of federal cuts by reducing costs, improving access, and reducing medical debt.

Please urge your legislator to support the Patient Centered Care program (SF1059/HF255), the Prescription Drug Purchasing Program (HF1093), the Medical Debt Reset Act (SF1347/HF1646), and the Minnesota Health Plan (SF929/HF1812).
