Be Prepared!

ICE has descended on the Twin Cities and surrounding area. Over 2,000 additional agents are deploying to Minnesota, and Kristi Noem attended an ICE raid in St. Paul today. According to an Immigrant Defense Network communication dated January 5, 2026, “This is a heavy and serious moment. Reports indicate a significant increase in ICE and DHS activity, and just this morning we have been receiving confirmed ICE presence in Richfield, Bloomington, Red Wing, Minneapolis, and Saint Paul.” Our communities are under attack, people are frightened, and families are being torn apart.

Washington County has seen enforcement activity from ICE. ICE is here! Everyone should be prepared for ICE showing up on their block. Do you know what your rights are if a masked ICE agent shows up at your door? Do you know how to protect your neighbors when ICE comes to their homes and workplaces? This will happen. Be prepared!

St. Croix Valley Indivisible (SCVI) recommends that everyone take Constitutional Observer Training where you will learn how to document ICE actions, report ICE raids, assert your rights as an observer, get alerts, help families that are targeted, and more. The training is designed for those who want to respond to local alerts about reported ICE activity, or simply understand your rights when ICE is in your neighborhood. Whoever you are, you are not in control of whether ICE will show up on your street so you should be prepared. Know your rights, and know how to alert and defend your community.

SCVI is offering training locally.

Thursday, January 15, 6:30-7:30 p.m.

St. Croix United Church 309 North Third Street, Bayport

The Monarca Rapid Response Line is dedicated to responding to Federal enforcement activity in Minnesota. They also offer training in various locations across the Twin Cities.
