Kudos Postcard Writers!

Since last June, the Postcards group has written and sent out 10,500 postcards. These postcards have been sent to GA, IA, MI, NC, NJ, PA, and VA for news boosting or Get Out the Vote (GOTV). Folks gather together at the Postcards & Zines! events to write and get to know each other and/or  take packets of postcards home to do at another time or pass on to family/friends to write.  However those that do it do it, you are awesome!

In addition to GOTV cards, thank you postcards have been sent out. Many have been sent  to judges across the judicial spectrum to praise them for standing up to this administration's wannabe dictator. Cards have also been sent to mayors, senators, governors, costume makers, booksellers, and many more, all to thank them for their courage and determination to fight against fascism.  Going forward, the group will again focus on writing Get Out the Vote postcards which will be mailed this fall.

A special call-out has to go to Miriam, Mary, and Kava for doing such a spectacular job of organizing these gatherings. Pulling together all the necessary supplies and preparing information so that, when dozens of people walk in the door to write those thousands of cards, everything is ready for them. And, they even supply treats!
