Kudos Postcard Writers!
Since last June, the Postcards group has written and sent out 10,500 postcards. These postcards have been sent to GA, IA, MI, NC, NJ, PA, and VA for news boosting or Get Out the Vote (GOTV). May Day: SCVI in the Community
A big thanks to all who participated! May Day has a long and storied history from ancient celebrations of spring to a day of labor rights. It is perhaps most famous for an 1886 strike for reduced working hours by nearly 500,000 people across the country. The strike turned deadly within days after conflicts with police. No Kings! We Said it Loud on March 28th!
As many as 8 million people gathered in peace and solidarity across the country.
