A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
For those interested in taking the Gold Line to the No Kings Rally at the State Capitol
Join Afton Indivisible on Saturday. The plan is to meet at the Helmo Ave. Park and Ride facility between 11:15 and 11:30 a.m. with a departure time around 11:30 a.m. The Gold Line buses run every 7-8 minutes and cost is $2. Get off after a 25-minute ride at the 6th St. and Minnesota Station -- from there it is a 20-minute walk to the capitol (just under 1 mile), or a similar distance in the opposite direction to the Harriet Island Regional Park rally point (closer to the northern bank of the river). If you don't want to walk to the Capitol, you can transfer to the 67 bus -- it's a 5-minute ride to the Capitol.
