Now is the time to act!

Come to learn about the campaign to reform how we pay for healthcare in Minnesota and help us plan for action.

When? Sunday, January 12th, 2025, 2:30 - 4:00 p.m.

Where? Stillwater Public Library, Margaret Rivers Room, Stillwater, MN

Health care is a human right!

St. Croix Valley Indivisible has joined a coalition of Health Justice Allies working to advance health justice, led by Health Care for All Minnesota and Physicians for a National Health Plan Minnesota. They are developing a statewide campaign to achieve healthcare that is accessible and affordable for every Minnesotan. Now, they are asking us to join them in the campaign.

We are inviting you to explore with us how our local Indivisible group can participate in the Health Justice movement. This is time to consider our strategy for action.

You should attend this meeting if…

  • You want to know more about the the Statewide Campaign to Win the Minnesota Health Plan

  • You are interested in taking action in your community to advance healthcare system reform

If you are unable to attend, but are interested or want to know more, please contact the organizers at admin@stcroixvalleyindivisible.org.

We Can Achieve Health Justice in Minnesota!

On the snowy afternoon of January 12, 2025, many made the trip to the Stillwater Public Library to attend “Achieving Health Justice in Minnesota”, hosted by St. Croix Valley Indivisible. Read more about it in the Stillwater Gazette.

The meeting had two purposes:

  • First, we wanted to introduce local health justice advocates to the recently launched “Minnesota Health Plan Campaign”, a statewide effort led by Health Care for All - Minnesota and Physicians for a National Health Program, Minnesota. The goal of the campaign is to enact into law the Minnesota Health Plan – think of it roughly as a comprehensive and improved Medicare for All for every Minnesotan.

  • Secondly, we wanted to develop a local campaign for health justice action. To this end, we formed a Strategy Workgroup who are charged with developing a 2025 plan. Contact us if you are interested in participating. The first meeting will be Wednesday, January 29th, at 7:00 p.m.

Our first legislative action is to attend Lobby Day on March 10th. You can register for Lobby Day here

St. Croix Valley Indivisibles understand that healthcare is a human right and should be accessible to everyone, no matter where we live, rich or poor, the color of our skin, or our gender identity. That is health justice!
